I have a M1730 with two hdd (320 and 160 Gb) already installed and I have an extra 120 gb on my desk. Is there a way to put 3rd in my laptop?

    making it a 320+160+120?

Nope, the M1730 only has 2 HDD bays,

You can purchase an external enclosure to house your spare HDD, and plug in via Usb.

Here are some on Newegg -> Link

    Most only hold one,
Btw these are for 2.5" SATA notebook HDDs, not 3.5" desktop HDDs.

You might do better on ebay, or a local electronics store, but there is one on Newegg for $10.99 w/free shipping with "so so reviews".
