    Hi,

On the M1730, are all the USB ports 2.0? I plugged something in the right side and a popup came up saying it could be faster. I plugged it on the left and nothing came up and it seemed faster.

Also, my old XPS Gen2 had 6 USB ports (4 in the back, 2 on the side). This one only has 4 (2 on the right, 1 in the back and 1 on the left) any idea why they didn't put more? It's not a big deal as I have a usb hub.

    Thanks
    Jeff.

Yes, all of the ports on the M1730 are USB 2.0, if it comes up with that message, just try unplugging it and plugging it back in, it is just a bug in windows.
