    M1730 being replaced for m17x, any advice?

    finaly after 2 weeks of phone calls, faulty GPUs, and unprofessional techs that bricked the computer twice dell called me saying that im going to get an alienware m17x, any advice on what specs should i push for on the m17x??

    my current specs on the m1730 are as follow

    2.53ghz centrico core duo
    4gb ram
    9800m gt SLI
    1200 screen
    250gb hard drive

    This thread should go to Alienware section but I'll answer anyways. When I got my replacement from 1640 to 1645 I got pretty much got all the upgrades that I wanted and I didn't even ask for it. I got better CPU, GPU, RAM, 9cell batt. You should ask for better CPU and GPU as they are the most important things. Heck, they might throw in more things too. My replacement took a week to get to me, and another week of hassle with Dell because of my RGBLED, as they don't make those screens anymore.
