Strange downclocking problem here.
Powermizer is active because the clocks of my 8800m gtx's go down to 200/100 instead of the 500/800 standard.
When in use, GPUZ says that my cards are running at 381/301. Why is this? Why am I not allowed to use the cards how they were made to be used?
I went to disable powermizer again, I can't find the perflevelsrc etc in the registry anymore.
Any help would be appreciated.

I disabled powermizer though and it runs at full stock speed all the time. What drivers are you using? And what kind of temps are you getting with your dual 8800s?

Don't know why you would want the cards to run at full all the time? But it'll run at full when it's needed such as games or large programs. It's not a bad idea to have it sit low when not in use, saves energy at idle and this way your fans don't always kick in and generate excessive heat that can clogg up ur exhaust fins. But then agian it's your own perference? Just that Dell discountinued our Be-Loveded XPS M1730 so hope your cards are fine at full clocks 24/7. Long live the 8800MGTX and 9800M's for our XPS!!!

Actually one of the reasons why I like to run on full clocks due to the fact that I use AutoCAD and 3ds Max everytime, and for no reason sometimes powermizer downclocks the 8800s and thus slowing down the graphics performance of both apps. I had to disable powermizer and it was smooth. Tried changing many drivers but with no luck.
Don't worry, my cards run at full clocks at just 49*C and 65*C max on gaming. Rarely goes above 70*C - without coolers. I do maintainence every 3 months, replying MX2 on both GPU and CPU, cleaning of fans.
Gotta know your card well before you try disabling powermizers though
M1730 downclocking problem, non-powermizer related
