Does anyone heard a noice coming from the "circuit board" of graphic card when you are running a game or during the gpu test in 3dmark? The sound like "si si si si" is quite annoying. I confirmed is not the problem of the fan of gpu and guess the noice is from the circuit board of gpu.
    Thanks.

Yes, I noticed the same thing. I don't know if this is a issue or just... a "feature".

Are you sure it's coming from your GPU? It might just be CPU whine, which seems to be relatively common to the Santa Rosa platform. It's definitely not a critical issue, but it can be annoying. I don't really remember there being a sure-fire fix, either.

I have noticed similar noise during 3dmark06 benching, especially when the fans are off; I'll run it again later to see if i can pin-down, whether its CPU or GPU.

It's hardly an issue. I only hear that noise in 3dmark anyways.

You should just leave it be when your running heavy duty benches.
Grab a coffee or listen to your mp3 or something when you bench it... lol :D

i tested when I look at the buttom of my notebook, the sound came out before the fan started to run and the noice is come from the gpu because it only exists when I run a game or 3dmark06 gpu test.

My GeForce 6800 AGP, 6800 Ultra Go, 7800 GTX Go, 8700M GT SLI, and 8800M GTX SLI all made/make interesting noises while running certain applications.

Its not the hard drive, its not the PhysX card...

Its only apparent when running 3DMark06 on my system. The noise is heard when changing from module to module (i.e. from Return to Proxycon and switching to the Forest module).

Its no big deal at all. Its either coming from the inverter or the GPU (its heard on the left side nearest the GPU HDMI/DVI out) - something along those lines. Don't stress.

I have heard such sounds coming from my M1730 as well. Though after a while's usage it disappeared. Not a huge problem anyway. Overall, the main thing is that your temps are kept moderate regardless of benchmarking or gaming.
