I am having great difficulty with this issue. When I leave my m1730 for 2 or more hours and come back, the screen doesnt come on. I have to shut the lid twice and re-open it for it to come back. I see the power button is active and when I hit a key I get some activity but then silence. I have made sure my power settings are for do nothing when I close the lid. I have the 175.32 nvidia drivers. I really need help with this. Thanks.

    Keep troubleshooting.

Look at quickset if you have it installed, it can be pesky

    Are these new drivers?

Are there new updates on your machine?

    New software?

One option is to uninstall the graphics driver and revert to previous driver to see if it's related.
