it just so happens that as soon as i build my new desktop, my m1730 decides it doesnt want to charge anymore. all i know is that before i plug in the ac adapter, the blue light is on on the brick but AS SOON as i plug it in, the light shuts off whether i have the battery in or not, as soon as its plugged in its off. i have two adapters and both are the same case. ive tried the hold the power button with everything unplugged and nothing. i bought a new battery which hasnt come in yet which i needed whether that was the problem or not but are there any ideas that dont have to do with the battery? bad motherboard? idk

If the connector is not the problem then usually the motherboard is.

It is possible the old battery has crapped does the BIOS report any issues or identify that the battery is present ?
