    I know we all thought the initial images of the XPS M1730 were, for lack of a better word, disgusting.

    However, on the NoteBook Italia website, new pictures have been posted of the rumored update to the M1710.

    Take a look :: http://notebookitalia.it/dell-xps-1730-in-arrivo.html

    The newer pictures were uploaded on the webpage on 8/10.

    And now the wait begins until the rumored release, 8/27.

    Wow, it looks hideous!

    4 USB ports on a 17", plus alot of potential ports missing, like eSATA, HDMI, etc.

    There is so much unused space all around.

    Agreed. I'm still leaning towards all of these photos as being a simple prototype of the refresh to the M1710.

    There is no way Dell would create such an elegant 13'' XPS with the m1330, and then create such a hideous 17'' XPS to follow it.

    We'll simply have to wait and see...

    Its hideous! How in the world would Dell think that would improve over the M1710...maybe the M1330 is a one-hit wonder :p.

    Errrr, not only is the paint job absolutely FUGLY, why'd they make it so thick? Do the Core 2 Extreme and 8700M GT dissipate that much more heat and as a result require way more cooling?

    True, this is one ugly model. But American design has been fine lately. Cadillacs look good, so does the Ford Mustang.

    Wow, the more I look at it, the worse it looks. Although the pictures looks pretty legit, I seriously hope this isn't the real deal - Dell's going to have dead wood on their hands if it's real. Very few people would buy this over the existing Inspiron 1720/Vostro 1700 for a slightly faster video card and processor. I'd imagine it'll sell at quite a premium too.

    That honestly is a very ugly design, whoever designed it needs to reconsider their life.
