    Obviously i understand that exterior will be the same, but what inside has changed also i understand that depends on the certain specification?

    Standard power supply for 1645 or 1647 what do you recommend?

    1640/7 = DDR3 1066; 1645 = DDR3 1333

    You shouldn't need to. If you have a 90W, call Dell and complain that the laptop is throttling and the adapter is overheating. They should send you a 130W replacement for free.
