I just finished doing a manualinstall on my m1730 everything works fine except having problems figuring out how dell media direct works.
When i did a manual install i had two options in partition one was " 364GB primary partition" and the other was the partition with dell media direct on it and was only 3gb big called logical.
I installed windows on the primary partition like i was told from tech support.
After i installed the OS and all the drivers i installed media direct.
It works when i play a DVD but i can`t find an icon for it?
I rember when the xps was in it`s factory default setting i could see a window with several option for media direct like " music , movies , pictures etc.."

MediaDirect should be able to be launched from your start menu, or by pressing the MediaDirect button on your M1730.
