This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I am by no mean being cruel or anything
    But ask yourself this... do you use mediadirect ? if not why bother installing ?

    If you do then .. ignore this

    It pretty much says it in that link you posted. It supports the newer Blu-ray profiles and has those other image and audio enhancements. One thing you lose is the ability to play media without booting into Windows. I never even tried 3.5 before installing a new HD and doing a clean install and installing 4.0 so I can't really compare the two from personal experience.
