    Hi-

I got my M1530 from DHL yesterday. I did a clean install and began customizing it. I used Disk Director Suite from Acronis to create a new partition using space from my OS drive. There were no errors.

Now, when I press the MediaDirect button when the computer is off, the MediaDirect splash screen shows up, followed by Vista loading. Then, I enter my password and I am presented with my desktop, followed by the MediaDirect application loading.

Is there any fix to have the MediaDirect button load MediaDirect without Vista loading as well (preferably without doing another clean install)?

check your version of MD. 3.5 I believe does what you are describing. you can always just use an older version and that should fix it. hope that helps

Try reinstalling MD inside Vista. If that doesnt work then a clean install of both vista and MD will be necessary.

if you do have to reinstall the OS and MD, be sure to run the MD install DVD prior to installing the OS. Just boot with it first, follow the instructions - then install your OS. Once the OS is installed, re-insert the MD DVD and complete the MD installation.
