    I'm about to install 7 on my m1530. Do I follow the same procedure as I did with Vista? I.E. put the mediadirect disc in, format the drive, install it, restart and put 7 disc in, complete 7 install and reinsert mediadirect disc to finish the install.

    Exactly right, I did this and Mediadirect worked fine on 7.

    Do you really use Media direct? I have owned my M1330 for over 2years now and never had the need to use media direct. In the last few months I installed an SSD and Windows 7 64bit and did not even bother with media direct as a) it is rubbish and b) Windows 7 boots up far quicker than media direct used to with my old spinner.
