I'd like to make my XPS 4gb of memory and then install 64bit Vista. Is adding memory easy and any suggestions where to buy it?

    Thanks.

It is extremely easy, and i believe there are many guides out there outlining the process.

    1. Shut down computer and remove battery.

    2. remove L shaped panel on reverse of laptop.

    3. un-clip 2 RAM sticks

    4. insert new RAM sticks, making sure they are properly attatched.

    5. replace cover and battery, cross fingers and switch on machine ;)

Sorry i cant comment on the best place to buy as im in the UK, but just have a look around on the internet. I picked up 2x2GB sticks for around £35 about a month ago....

check www.newegg.com they usually have the best prices. Also, do a quick google search, you might find some coupon codes.
