Does anyone know if any retail Microsoft Stores are carrying the 1080p, 8 GB of RAM variant of the new 2015 XPS 13? I start school this week and my previous laptop just died so I don't have time to wait for shipping. I also don't want only 4GB of RAM because I'm a 3rd CS student who will be running IDE's and probably a lot of chrome tabs as well. Thanks, if anyone knows because their help line is pretty abysmal.

They are not. For now at least. I currently have the version with 4GB of RAM. Think I am going to get the 8GB from Dell though. My battery life seems a bit out of the norm so I was just going to do an exchange. But I really like this system and see myself using if for more demanding tasks so the 4GB aint going to cut it.

It is a dang shame that they don't make the 8GB standard, or at least not charge 100 bucks for it. What a ripoff.
