    Hi Friends

Microsoft has now came with a laptop selection helper interactive application.
But surprisingly they have NOT included SXPS16 in ANY of their selection criteria. Means if you select all laptops from Dell, you will not find SXPS16 in their list  The Dell laptops include...Studio15, XPS M1330, XPS13, XPS M1530.

So what is the reason that Microsoft ommited SXPS16 from their list and NOT recommending the laptop ???

I do not know abt SXPS 13. But I really surprised by EXCLUSION of SXPS16. Even HP HDX16 makes the way to Microsoft's list !

Now its food for thought for Dell to think about SXPS16 :)

At the end of the day, it's Microsoft's own lineup of their recommended laptops.

Instead of basing your judgement on a single company, why not think for yourself? Stop being part of the herd and following what others or marketing tells you to do.

Go read the forums and see how many REAL users suffer the heat troubles you assume exists. Although you are not the 1st to assume the all SXPS laptop overheat like mad, this attitude does get annoying after a while.

And as an SXPS 16 user myself, with specs pretty much maxed (heat-wise) when I bought mine, I can report that overheating is not an issue, even when playing games.

The SXPS 13 is on there which AFAIK has a chassis that is essentially that of the SXPS 16 in a smaller form factor and hence has suffered the same complaints of "over-heating" by some.

You're saying MS intentionally left the SXPS 1640/1645 off the list and left the XPS 1330 on the list which is advertising a defective GPU that has caused several system failures?

    Hey Stop !
Why you are bashing upon me ?
I just kept the fact as I surprised to see the exclusion of SXPS16 by MS.
Neither I'm biased to some brand nor a mad for a model.
SXPS16, being the top most model in this section from Dell, I assumed it must have a room at MS site, and thats all. BTW, Did I mention abt heat in this thread ??? rather I heard the heat issue from you here !

Because in your last post (which I quoted) IMO it seemed like you implied that Dell should revise the SXPS 16 to get MS to put it on their website. I'm guessing now though that everyone was quick to jump to conclusions :D.
