I hope this is the right place to write this.. im looking for a nice decent school notebook. This XPS 15 looks like a great notebook for school work and entertainment. however i have some concerns after reading some complaints. the Wi-Fi issue and overheating. Is this WiFi problem really a big issue? At university could i have problems with connection? Also how big is the overheating issue? I think of playing some games ( WOW, GuildWars 2) with max settings"if i can". Will this overheat system a lot? Could a cooling pad help? Also how heavy is this laptop i couldnt find any info at dells website..

I really need answers for my concerns. I hope i can find it here.

I think they have resolved the Wifi issues with the new unit that come with Windows 8. I havent experiences any issues. As far as heat problem, I cant say anything since I dont play game and run multiple apps at the same time.

Its a great laptop, worth every pennies.

    Hi Intimate,

I had one of these in Feb this year, very close in spec (was an i7 2 something then entry version, 8gb of ram, and a 2gb nvidia card) and played wow on it with no problems, i had things like shadows turned off and rain etc, but was fine to play, cant remember my fps but it was fine for 5 mans and BG's and Arena - never did raids on it. Also played eve on it and that was fine also - can't comment on the overheating as i was not on it for hours gaming, but a couple at a time and it was fine, i used a mouse and keypad keyboard so never touched the laptop keyboard except for chatting

Had also read about the wifi issue when i bought mine back in feb, and mine worked fine, never had a problem

    Hope this helps,
