Approximately what would the montevina be priced at?
Would a P9400 come close to the T9300 price? or will it be significantly higher in a dell XPS M1530/future equivilent notebook?

As per the last pricing details, It had around $315 price tag. Dell might push the P series for better battery life. Cannot tell what the upgrading price could be...

it wont be alot better anyway.
the only things you get are usefull are slightly more battery life and 800mhz ram.
other then that there is not a big difference. they will go up to 3.06ghz but im pretty sure they wont go stright into a m1530, maybe over time, thats what happened with the penryn.
plus the fact that they will cost more and dell are going to try and get rid of penryn so prices will be cheaper now. -
Dell faced some problems in putting the penryn processors in the XPS. That caused the delay. You might have noticed that the 8400 GS card was not available with penryn processors. It was DDR3 version, and there was some conflict in the BIOS.
The XPS deals have gone down from where it was just 1 month ago. The T9500 processors are being loaded and sold on the LAPTOP DEALS section. Penryns are running very well, and I think there will not be more than a months delay in the introduction of the new XPS.
Montevina pricing.
