I swear it is always something with this product. I made a bootable USB flash drive and put Windows 7 on it. I have 2 M1330's, the only difference between them is CPU/RAM/HDD. One of them boots just fine off the USB drive, the other doesn't. They are both running the A15 BIOS. What am I missing here? I've compared the BIOS settings side by side and they are identical.

    reflash/reset the bios?

it's a little weird for me too.... i set mine to boot from HDD first and disable flash, but somehow it always seem to boot from flash if i have it stuck in...

that's why i got myself a desktop and delegated the laptop to smaller use

When you say it doesn't boot, can you be a little more specific? Does it even try or does it just ignore the usb drive completely? I assume if you boot the laptop normally then you can access the USB drive using the same port?

It does not recognize the flash drive when booting but once in Windows 7 it sees it fine. My other M1330 boots right from said flash drive with no issues.

Silly question but I suppose you have tried both USB ports? What about creating a simple boot to DOS usb stick and see if that works.
