I've noticed in all RTS games (when say, selecting multiple units) and even on the desktop in Vista (hold down left mb on desktop and drag), when drawing a selection rectangle my mouse cursor (using VX Nano, but it also happens with touchpad) moves waaay faster than the box it is drawing.

It takes a second for the box to catch up. Is this because of the low Vista default USB polling rate? I've tried the various tutorials to increase it with no luck (the rate would not increase). I've also tried various nvidia drivers, uninstalling setpoint/alps drivers, and removing just about every program from start up. The games and aero all run fine as far as frame rate, so its not part of a larger slowdown.

    Any ideas?
