Hi I'm new. :) I've had my laptop for about two months now. I've noticed that windows media playback of music sounds a little tinny/ scratchy. Is there any way I can change the equalizer settings to get a more optimal sounding playback? If not, are there any other solutions to make music just sound better when played on the M1530? Thanks for any responses!

I don't think so. It's just the way our speakers sound really. The best way would be to get some good external speakers or headphones~ ;)

try uninstall the sound driver if that works.
some dell models dont have correct drivers from manufacturers, may as well go with vista default.

Those can't get fixed. Just use a home theater that comes in Walmart for 35$ for 5.1 channel. You will love it like I do. :D
