Hi there. I'm new to this forum. I recieved my studio 16 2 days back and so far its been treating me well. I got the deal in Canada for a whopping 1350 :D.
It has the standard features that are found on most dell studio xps 16's here on the forum. I wanted to get some advice from you guys. You see I went with the native WLED 1366X768p screen and I am not too happy with it. When I was customizing the system I didn't see a point in spending 300 additional bucks on the higher end screen. However now I am thinking of getting the 1090p resolution LCD. How has the experience been for people that have the RBGLED? Is there a way to get it at a lower price? and is there a way to get higher display resolution on this current screen? perhaps through a different GPU? I am just considering my options here since I really do like this laptop everything is fine. I guess I'm just looking for a more crisp resolution and the price is too high

    ???

Does Canada have 30 days for a return or replacement (new), or is it 21 days. I'm wondering if you can call and tell them your contemplating returning for a refund..unless they can work out a deal for the other screen for you?? :D

I mean it doesn't hurt to try. ;)

I'm debating on this issue as well. I like my xps 16, the power and the feel of the keyboard. But just 3 days and I had to replace the ac adapter because it made a lot static noise during charging and now my wireless n card is just super slow compare to my other laptops with wireless g cards in them.
Cin: can you please tell me the number to contact dell about these issue. I don't know which number I should call. Because when I tried to talk with the sale rep they said to call the tech support because sale reps are responsible only to help customer build their systems. But then, the tech supports were not familiar with these issues and didn't know anything rather than remotely fix my laptop (which resulted in completely reinstall of my system because he messed up the BIOS @_@).
    Thank you

    Have you tried this number?
    Dell XPS Hardware Support: 1-800-232-8544
Try that and see if it helps! ;)

Nope it doesn't hurt to try, and the sooner the better (based on the number of days alloted for a return) :D

If you like the new Macbook Pro screens, you'll love the RGBLED 1080p screen. My roomate (an Apple snob haha) has one of the new Macbook Pros and he said he was actually shocked that Dell could make a screen like this lol. I haven't seen the WLED version, so I can't comment on it, but I'm loving the RGBLED that I got on mine.

Yea, it's great...nice and bright. Good viewing angles. Nice, saturated colors. The reds are a tad over-saturated, but it doesn't bother me as I'm not a professional photographer and don't work with that kind of stuff on my computer. I think it's a beautiful screen. I really wish they'd make a matte version of it!
