Hmm I don't know, but it is normal that after a clean boot up, it takes a while for the software to do its job. I own a Studio XPS 13, and after boot up, I have to wait like 10-20 seconds (with meanwhile, "initializing camera") before it displays my face, etc. Sometimes it recognizes immediately without even showing the Facial Recognition.

I was wondering that too. I haven't receviedd mine yet, still in build, but I played with one at Best Buy. Does the facial regonition software allow usage with like True Crypt or other encryption software?
