The screen I have starts to invert colors long before it reaches that angle.
It has other problems too. I'm getting it replaced today.
Mine is a Samsung CCFL (SEC 5441).
    What's yours?

I have the LED model LCD.

What brand display should I request?

I'm not sure how to tell what brand (samsung, etc) is currently in there.

They can't honor requests for a particular display. If it happens great, but they can't guarantee it.

    Underestimate my abilities do you?

Anyway the question is - which display do I WANT out of them all?

for the normal lcd screen it would be the Philips LG screen i dunno if this goes up for the led screens to or if they even supply led screens.

I don't think you can request a particular brand. They wouldn't let me do it.
The LG is the best of the CCFL screens, but they aren't currently supplying LED screens to Dell -- at least not for the M1330.

    To find your brand
Click the Start button and type
    device manager
    in the search.
Open Device Manager and under Monitors double click where it says Generic PnP Monitor
On the Details tab, choose Hardware IDs from the dropdown box.

    Mine says MONITOR\SEC5441
    SEC is the Samsung screen

I've heard CMO is the worst.
Some people say Toshiba is the best. But the one I had in my previous M1330 was very grainy, so the Toshiba isn't always so great.
And there is apparently a Samsung LED which unfortunately tends to flicker on low brightness settings (at least some of them do).

CMO is the worst, Samsung is the best for vibrancy but has worse viewing angles than the toshiba and an annoying noise when not on full brightness in my experience. I've had a Toshiba and Samsung LED screen in my m1330.

I just had a Toshiba and 2 CMO's due to several problems with one m1330. I didn't think the Toshiba was all that great. The CMOs had light gray horizontal lines I didn't like (reported in other posts as well). It has good brightness, but otherwise is sort of grainy/sparkly and I just couldn't look at it for long. So far as all the posts I saw in extensive searching at the time, there is only CMO, Toshiba and Samsung for the LED version.

I didn't want the CMO, didn't like the Toshiba, and decided not to try to see if the Samsung was any better - I sent it back.
