    Hey guys and gals!

I'm new to the forum found it looking for some drivers :).

So I purchased my XPS M1530 in June 08 for a fair price for high res screen and 2.4ghz.

The first issue I had was the LCD looked fuzzy, I called and they replaced the LCD.

The second issue I had was touch pad, even when using a mouse and not touching the laptop at all windows would close minimize on their own, they replaced it.

Thrid issue has been the HD 250gig HD 7200RPM made a clicking sound from time to time, and then one day just would not boot into windows, ran the dag and it turned out to be a bad disk.

So I can't say I am thrilled with the laptop, but from what and when I have been able to use it I love it.

I do have one question, back where the battery goes it looks like the is a small SD card slot, does anyone know what this is for?

    Thank you for your time.

Dang I just ordered one on 7/21 ... sounds like you've had your fair share of troubles ... I sure hope I can avoid these. As for the little slot it says on the internet that it is a UTMS slot ... however ... I have no idea what that is ... with a little bit of research I'm sure it can be found.

Why does it look like a Mini SD slot? Just strange place for it :).

its where you stick in the sim card for those with built-in WWAN. I'm with AT&T so thats where my sim, on my inpsiron, goes.

The turbo memory thing from my understanding is another card inside the case. I could be wrong but :-s.

Here's a picture of it from notebookcheck.net ... is that the slot you are talking about?

And it says under the picture "Next to the battery slot, there is an UTMS slot."
