i took a lot of pictures, matching it against my old, decrepit HP Compaq Presario 2596US (Celeron 2.6mhz, 1gb ram, ati mobility igp 340m/345m).
i got the LG lcd, and its perfect, even if it is grainy, its way better than the screen on my notebook.
also, the build quality is spectacular, its feels very solid, almost like a mac. well i will have the pictures up a little later, im installing some software at the moment. the keyboard feels really nice (typing on it now). the fingerprint reader works fine, just need to be patient with it. i haven't removed the protective take on the media panel, but i dont see any scratches on it, so ill leave it on to that remains the case
.
feel free to ask me anything about the comp. and ill try to post the pictures as soon as possible.
*edit*
theres been a lot of discussion on the m1530 not having gigabit, i think i have good news... under 'Task Manager's 'Networking' tab, the link speed for 'Local Area Network' is 1Gbps.
so, i guess it does after all.
uploaded some pictures: find them here
ill have some more pictures soon; sorry about some of them, i accidentally has macro on.

It's possible the best way to do it is configure the laptop online and then call and see if they'll give you a better price if they do get their info and then take that to a Dell kiosk and see what they will give you. Just keep going back and forth and you should be able to get a bigger discount or at least some free upgrades.

Congrats, mrl0ser! Seems like you and I lucked out! I also took delivery of a new 1530 this week and couldn't be happier. With all of the panic-stricken posts here, I admit I was a little nervous about this machine. It has exceeded my expectations!
I'm coming from a ThinkPad T43. One of the things I always loved about that machine was the keyboard. But the keyboard on this 1530 is amazing - love the feel! -
mrl0ser could you post some photos of your Tuxedo Black xps? i can't find them anywhere.

added pictures to my first post

Ahhh cant make up my mind now, 1330 or 1530? lol, hard 1!~
