Just checked my XPS 17 order after seeing this thread and it's shipped too! Only 8 days since order, EDD was Dec.6 and ordered Nov.4th. Awesome but it sucks cause now I have OVER A MONTH till Christmas when I was planning on giving it to my wife. Damn gonna be tough not giving it up early so I can check it out

Yeah, mine shipped in 10 days, sooo much faster than they quoted me. I think Dell is playing it conservatively in their quotes.

I'm in the US. Ordered the loaded options in my sig, and ordered through an agent that works for Dell Business.

Mine shipped in 6 days as well. Ordered on 4th (but at night around 00:30 so actually 5 November), and it changed to "Sent" on the 11th. Gonna get it tomorrow :D. By the way.. The EDD was the 2nd of December.

Config was i7 + Full HD screen etc.

Mine was for an XPS 17 though, not the XPS 15 if that makes any difference. Still surprised to see it shipped so much earlier than the EDD.

Can the phone status sometimes go right from processing to shipped, or will it always have in between stages? Thanks.

As many as it takes to get an answer. These boards don't seem as busy as when I ordered my last laptop. I was getting notification emails left and right then. I just don't understand the phone statuses. The order statuses wiki shows in production on the website breaks down to kitting, testing, building, boxing on the phone, but all the phone even says is processing, and thats not even showing as a substatus of in production on the website. Seems to me it should still say pre-production on the website if kitting has not even started.

My order says "In Production" on the online order status page, and "Being Processed" when I call the order status line, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

OK, thanks. I guess that the substatuses have changed since whenever the Stages Wiki thread was started. Does it goto kitting, testing, building, boxing next? I just hope it ships in a week like some I have seen, although I also saw some that were still in production after two weeks.

I don't think they provide the detailed sub statuses anymore. My last two computer purchases went from In Production to Shipped, nothing in between. Mine has been in production for 2.5 weeks, and is supposed to be shipped on Monday... we'll see!

Hopefully! Darn why do they always regress in everything. Even Domino's is more specific with your order. :D

Haha! True, you would think spending $2,000 would give you a more detailed status . Here's my post from the other forum, you might consider giving them a call and requesting some more detailed information. You will have to insist on more than just "In Production".
