Within just a day of officially ordering (on Friday) my XPS 1530, it's moved from Order Processing, skipped Pre-Production and gone straight into Production! My Sutdio 1535 order spent 4 weeks in Pre-Production.
For sure my XPS might spend the next 4 weeks or more "In Production", but I'm quite confident that it will ship next week![]()

This is a good thing for you...I remember reading what was going on with your order for the 1535
But that was *then* and this is *now* and your getting one sweet lappy!
Being in the production stage is a good thing as your build *rolls forward*
Let us know when it's being shipped, and once you receive it!

Thanks Cin, yeah after my nightmare 1535 order, I'm glad this one seems to be at least moving quicker. I can't find the thread that had detailed information on each stage of the order... I'll keep searching, but if anyone can post a link, that'd be great.

Well I'm pleased to report that my laptop has moved to the shipping phase, phase 5 already!!! This is a fantastic service in comparison to my Studio 1535 order!
If I'd ordered an XPS instead of a Studio, last month, I'd have been singing Dell's praises, lol.
EDIT: Does anyone know who shipping company WUK is? That's the company listed on my packaging slip... -
Walsh Western ships from Ireland to the UK and Business Post (UK Mail) does the final delivery.

No matter! I found out, arranged delivery for tomorrow morning between 8am and 1pm :-D
