I'm happy with it so far.
Came with BIOS A08, but a 90W supply. So I'll raise a ticket and get that replaced.
Still trying to decide if I will use its keyboard or get a logitech DiNovo one.
Tempted to format the machine, but I think I will settle for disabling the DELL software.

Grat's on the arrival biscuits
The keyboard is sweet! But, then again so is that DiNovo!
Now, you could get both and swap between the 2!XD
I did a Clean Install on mine when it arrived (I always do, it's fairly simple)..but everyone likes doing these things their own way!
(still needs a bit of tweaking tonight).

Thanks Cin'
Just running down the list of things I need to uninstall,
- McAcfee
- Dell online / offline backup
- Fastacess facial recognition
- Dell dock
few more to go.
I hope getting the 130W AC isnt too difficult.
I'm going to give the built in keyboard a go for a while, as it does seem very nice.
Screen seems very bright, but I'm sure I'll find an option for that. -
congrats. mine just came too. how hard is it going to be to get the 130w AC?
-
I called up tech support today - I told them about the DELL blog post, they put me on hold for a while then said I should receive it (130W) tomorrow.
I'll see if it turns up.
The only think I'm looking at now is why the HD seems to spin up and down now and again - doesn't seem to be a reason why it does it. -
I got my this week too. Very happy so far. Ended up doing a clean install. If you choose to do so, make sure you create the system restore disks. You can do it through the dell datasafe backup utility.
Personally I like to have these in the event I decide I want to blow away the restore partition.
I believe I have the 90W power adapter too. -
Go clean says me.
My XPS 1645 just arrived
