Is your laptop defective on arrival? If its less than 21 days you can ask for a refund or excahnge. More than 21 days you may have to call them and they will send the tech home.

I think paint issue on the bezel is considered as normal wear and tear. Its doubtful whether they do it or not. You can still fight for it. As far as the LCD goes, few people had the keyboard bulging on the center and they got it replaced. That may have been the problem for your LCD scratches. Call Dell immediately and explain the problem until you get a "GOOD" rep who can "really" understand the problem. They may do it.

That's simply badly used.. You should have used a screen protector if you were concerned with cosmetics.... Dell wouldn't replace anything, from what I can see.. The scratches on the screen look not from the keyboard, but inadequate cleaning.. I would suggest getting good quality spray paint for the central control cover...

If you have complete cover it can be done. but talk to them online. and if they say no just remind them that you have complete cover.

I had similar problem with my dell inspiron 1720. i emailed them and they said it can't be done. then i spoke to technical department on phone. and people refuse to do it. then i said i have complete cover then they agree with me and sent me replace part next day.

All the best! and do update us if u get replacement part.
