Hello all. I'm hoping someone here can help me out with this frustrating problem I seem to be having. I have read through the forums and tried just about everything to get my video card drivers to install but they just don't want to install for some reason.
I have a Dell Studio XPS 1647 with a ATI 4670 video card. Whenever I try to install my drivers it goes through the process of installing them, and then at the end it says Install complete but with warnings. This is the warning it gives me.

Hi, sorry for your problem...
How did you acquire your installation files? If it is downloaded, from where(what source?? amd.com etc)?
1.corrupted/bad files can be a real problem. try different sites/sources.
2.Manufacturer may have caused it(amd drivers) to have modded for specific models. For Example my Sony VAIO has Radeon 5670 and it requires drivers from esupport.sony.com, which makes drivers from amd.com unusable. It is very bad idea, sony......
3. try hardware diagnostics. i think dell has an app for it
4.make sure ur pc is free of malware, viruses.
Hope this helps!
If it is not that serious, you can install original drivers.
Good Luck! -
I have tried to download from multiple sites, and using Driver Sweeper to make sure all the leftover files were removed. Trying to use Safe Mode as well with no luck. I'm not sure exactly why they don't want to install. I wish I could figure it out, so I wouldn't be stuck with almost a year old driver.
My video card drivers don't want to install.
