Can you tell me how I can install or enable the MyWifi software for the Intel 5300?
Background: I ordered two laptops, 1640 and Studio 1555. I ordered the 5300 w/My WiFi on the 1555 but missed doing that on the 1640 and only ordered the 5300 without My WiFi. I preference is to have My WiFi on the 1640 rather than 1555 and I am unable to find any software that came with my 1555. I noticed that Intel ProSet is installed on my 1555 with My WiFi . But the 1640 does not have Intel ProSet application installed. Dell support had me download the 64 bit 5300 driver R202465, which I did and installed successfully on my 1640. But I do not see the Intel ProSet application or any other My WiFi app after the install. What am I missing here?
Thank you!

Just an update. I was able to find and download Intel's My WiFi from their website and the ProSet application and all looks the same. However, wifi is not working, I think an incompatible driver version between the 5300 card and the application.
I will have to play around with it later.

Well just an update...no workee.
Been working with Dell support, two different engineers, different days and probably 4 hours worth, they could not help and really had no clue on this configuration even though it's offered when you configure your laptop when ordering.
The best I got was on my own downloading the 5300 drivers and PROSet/My Wifi software from Intel. Everything seemed to install fine and the application launched, but could not get the application to recognize the 5300 card, thus no wifi at all. Realy want this to work on my 1640 rather than my son's Studio 15 which I ordered with and works. Looking at the cards, they physically are the same, same part no. But something is different somewhere.
So if anyone does get this installed and working as an afterthought to having it come preinstalled from dell, please post. I've read that Windows 7 will have Virtual Wifi, though may not be as rich as what Intel is offering based on some comments out there. Will probably have to wait and go the Windows 7 route once it's released.
