The estimated delivery date was 22-24 of June. Its now the 2 of July and i still haven't received anything or emails. I spoke to my dell rep yesterday and he said that, my tv tuner card was not in stock, so hes changing the order number to a now an Express order number, and is going to send my laptop first, and then the tv tuner second. He also compensated that he will add 3 years Macafee anti virus for free. So all in all its ohkay.

Your specs is very good. I am quite sure your laptop can run the games (Modern Warfare 2 is NOT called COD 6 MW:2) you've listed here just fine.

You can take a look at these video to get a feel of how the SXPS 16 performs.

It all comes down to how long you are willing to wait for the 4670 to show up in Australia. I don't think anyone here can tell you when Dell will start making the option available worldwide.

By the way, I really don't see the urgency of this thread. I would lose the "NEEED ADVICE URGENTLY" phase and use a more descriptive title for the post next time, but that's just me, you can do whatever you want.

The 3670 will run all those games, just not at the highest setting (except for BF2 and CSS). The others you may need to drop down details to medium but you should be able to run them at native resolution since you have a 720 display. Let me ask you something, why did you purchase the SXPS 16 if you wanted a gaming system? There are much better alternatives available that cost a fraction of the price and will give you about 300% the performance the 3670 provides. Case in point is the new Asus G51VX-RX05 laptop, in the USA it costs $999 and features a 1366x768 display (same as yours), C2D 2.0 GHz, 4 GB ram, no BT, DVD burner, A/B/G/N Wireless, nVidia GTX 260m, backlit keyboard (just like the SXPS 16) chiclet style. I went and saw this laptop in person yesterday and played with it a bit. It is a great laptop and the only reason I didn't purchase it right away was because I prefer 1080p resolution displays. Aesthetically the Dell is only slightly better looking. If you purchase the laptop online, you can configure it to have blu ray etc along with 2 yrs standard warranty + 1 year complete care for free courtesy of ASUS. I'm on the fence right now and have been struggling with deciding between the Dell and ASUS. I'm a gamer at heart and it just kills me knowing a $1000 laptop will perform twice as fast as my Dell and mine has the 4670 GPU in it...and like I said, the ONLY thing holding me to the Dell at this point is the RGB LED display.

    ReddragoNatoR,

I'm from Australia too. I placed my order the day after you and haha i'm also empty handed =D totally awesome right?

yeh, I agree. kinda sucky we don't get the new gpu upgrade

    i'm kinda annoyed I don't get the window's 7 upgrade either

I got the 32bit Vista for piece of mind but when I called customer care to check if it was too late to change mine, to 64bit so I could be eligible for the upgrade, I was only told that it was not recommended for me?

I said to her, hang on, they are pushing free copy of window's 7 but i shouldn't get because u said so? it just doesn't make any sense - she just paused and repeated what she said as if she was reading off a sticker. wth?

anyway, if the gpu comes out within the next month of me receiving the machine I'm so returning it and getting that one + i get windows 7 free upgrade =D

    2 birds with one stone.

but i have no idea wen australia will get it so it's anyone's guess

I've emailed Dell 4 times about this.

I even asked them about it before I purchased, they flat out lied to me.

    We get nothing.
