ok, this is a little strange...
I ordered a custom build of XPS M1330 on Friday afternoon UK time (with 320 GB 7200 rpm HDD that's not available on the uk website)...
On Saturday it was in shipping status.
This morning they would have delivered it had it not been a bank holiday...
Now, they told me it would be 7 to 10 WORKING days (so 8th September) to receive my new laptop...

If not, and it's a genuine new build in less than 18 hours, then - WOW !
any thoughts to put my mind at rest?

Unless you ordered from Dell Outlet I HIGHLY doubt they would send you a refurbished system?? I suggest you thoroughly inspect it when it comes in and any minute scratch/dent/imperfection/anything return it if you really think it could be the case. Maybe someone ordered the same/near same setup as you and decided to cancel their order right before you put yours in so they had it in the factory ready to go haha But really, they shouldn't/wouldn't/couldn't send you a refurbished system if it wasn't from the outlet.
-
Someone probably cancelled an order with your same configuration
-
In that case I'm gonna be very happy
When they said 'expedited' I thought maybe a 10 days, not 10 hours -
A refurb will have a green sticker on the bottom indicating that it is a refurb. Congrats on your quick turn around time. Like others had said, it is probably a system someone canceled right before shipping and so they had it built already.

Same here,
Ordered by XPS M1330 yesterday, today it's ready to be shipped. I hope I'll get it before the weekend
I don't think it's either refurbished or someone else's cancelled order. If they happen to have all the components available, they can assemble them pretty quickly.
Isn't that done in Poland?

I got a confirmation e-mail that it'll arrive this Thursday, and I have a UPS tracking number so I can keep an eye on it as it comes in from Poland.
