Increases performance for GeForce 400 Series and 500 Series GPUs in several PC games vs. v270.61 WHQL drivers. The following are some examples of improvements measured on Windows 7. Results will vary depending on your GPU and system configuration:

    GeForce GTX 580:
Up to 4% in Crysis 2
Up to 5% in Civilization V with SLI
Up to 9% in Portal 2
Up to 13% in Bulletstorm with Antialiasing enabled
Up to 15% in Batman: Arkham Asylum with PhysX High
    GeForce GTX 560:
Up to 6% in Crysis 2
Up to 8% in Portal 2
Up to 14% in Batman: Arkham Asylum with PhysX High
Up to 15% in Bulletstorm with Antialiasing enabled

Supports the new GPU-accelerated features in Adobe CS5.
Supports GPU-acceleration for smoother online HD videos with Adobe Flash 10.1.
Supports OpenGL 4.1 on GeForce 400 series and later GPUs.

It looks better than 270.61 btw. but i don't like "beta" drivers on nvidia. They can make suprise on games sometimes. I'll wait for release.

Has anyone installed this beta driver? I have a feeling that the COD:Black Ops is lagging a bit after installing this driver, can anyone please suggest or let me know if this works fine

Installed it on my L701x and it went fine.

Did not test it in game yet.

However, the GPU idle temps went down by 3-5 degrees, which I appreciate as it means the fan does not go off that much anymore in idle mode. It is still running but you have to put you hand to the vent to feel the air flow and know it is. :)

One thing I noticed with beta driver is that during idle, the GPU clock goes down to less than 100Mhz. Can anyone confirm this?

Good catch on this and I checked on mine to see and yes, the GPU clock goes way down in idle, as can be seen here:

That explains the temperature change. I've gone down to 43 degrees at some point, a level I had never reached before in idle. I really like this new feature and I think it was a really good move on Nvidia's part. :)
