I just bought a brand new Dell XPS 15 yesterday. It's the newest one with the i7-7700 processor, 1TB hard drive, GTX1050 graphics, 4k touch display etc. The computer is beautiful and runs programs wonderfully unless it has anything to do with the internet. Online web browsing is painfully slow for some reason and I can't figure out why. Just typing this, the laptop will freeze for up to 45 seconds as I'm typing and I'll have to wait while the blue circle comes up. I know it's not my internet or wifi, the signal is strong, my macbook pro is lightning quick and the old desktop I have that never gets used works well also. Even my cell phone with wifi enabled web browses much faster than this brand new $2,000 laptop.
Anybody have any ideas what could be happening and if so, how can I fix it?

are you using chrome? Try updating your intel graphics drivers:

Dell isn't fixing this so the best drivers are downloaded automatically? Do they ever make it so the user doesn't need to browse forums and hand pick various drivers but instead can rely on auto updates?

Yeah that's probably what it is. I'll give that a shot, thanks.

Having a hard time installing the drivers. I'm getting an error message that says "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer."

There's a pretty in-depth guide on how to install it here -

igdlh64 is the file you need, not sure why it is moaning.
You can always try and rip every shred of the old driver with DDU http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
then install the new driver, sometimes it will just work via the installer when you use DDU but otherwise the inf method should work. -
yup, simply click on igdlh64 and then click open. it should work fine
