So I stumbled upon a Dell IdeaStorm post about the Dell Media/F Keys which is one of my biggest problems on the new XPS line.
Its simply a suggestion to allow a half and half option

F1 F2 F3 F4 F5 and F6 will work as normal, and brightness, backlit, ect., will be accessed by Fn+( )

    And

F7 F8 F9 F10 F11 and F12 (The Media Keys) will be set to Media keys first, ... you get it.

Just register an ID if you don't have one, it takes 5 seconds, you don't even have to confirm from your email or anything.

    Thanks for the help guys!
