I recently purchased an XPS M1530, and immediately installed XP Pro. I have everything working satisfactorily except that I cannot hear the microphone input through my headphones. I had a similar issue with my old Inspiron 600m, but I remedied that by editing the registry. The same modification doesn't seem to apply to my new laptop.

I have tried the "DisableMicFromPlayback" registry edit, but there is no "DisableMicFromPlayback" key in the registry. I have no mic playback volume control either.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
