My DC jack broke a few months back and so I'm looking to replace my M1330 motherboard. I'm planning to buy one myself and get it changed from a technician. What specs should I look for while buying one ? Any recommendation about place to buy a new one ? Thanks in advance

Is your computer under warranty? Otherwise, yes, you can buy a motherboard and have a technician replace it for you. There were 2 types of motherboards for M1330 -- one with an Intel GPU and one with an nVidia GPU. You can buy either of those.

If you are in the US, try here.

You can also check fleabay/google search. you are looking for:

    M1330 Motherboard/Integrated Video
    Part#: GM848

    M1330 Motherboard/NVIDIA GPU
    Part#(s): PU073, K984J, D057F

Might also want to consider trying just the power jack (will require soldering).
