    Hi all,

Well, after nearly a year since I've done the copper mod, my GPU has finally give in :( . Currently, I'm in the process of shipping it back to Dell's repair depot under their limited Nvidia extended warranty to have the motherboard replaced. However, to do so would mean that I have to revert to the original condition to avoid the warranty being void upon inspection. Unfortunately, I can't locate the blue thermal conductive pads that I took off since the mod...

So, does anyone know what's the thickness of the pad (~3mm?) and where can I purchase it from  ? Also, does anyone have their pads in a different color other than blue? The one's I found on Ebay are white/yellow/grey/black but no blue...

    Thanks in advance.

I've also applied the copper mod. But my M1330, had only one thermal pad. Only one on the GPU, the other one on the chipset was missing. So the thermal pad that I have peeled off from the GPU, I've used it for on the chipset.

So what you could do is. Peel the thermal pad from the chipset and apply it on the GPU. I don't think they will even notice. If they do, then you can always say you haven't touched it and there has never been a thermal pad on the chipset.

Thanks for the all your feedback, Wolf and xileS ;) . I'm communicating with a few Ebay sellers who's selling Dell parts in hope they have the blue pads included with the heatsink. This is necessary due to the face that I've modded both the GPU and chipset, and thus both pads are missing :( .

Upon further research, I've stumbled upon Dell's Dell's part number for the pads to be UP755. Unforunately, the one's I found on Ebay are these which I've confirmed with the seller to be grey in color.
