I bought a cheap caddy off ebay and while it fits just fine in the XPS 15 I'm not comfortable with how the hard drive sits. It's only held in place by the SATA connectors and a piece of plastic you have to wedge between the HDD and caddy wall.

There's a little bit of space on both sides of the HDD, should I stuff something in there to minimize vibration? Should I just use some electrical tape? I don't like a 7200rpm drive sitting so freely

If you have or can find thick double sided take you can use it as padding. Just cut to size, peel off one side, and secure that HDD!
