So today my regular hard drive got screwed over real bad by a virus I suppose. I am not even sure what happened but the font was different and at the log in screen where you type in your password usually when you type it in the circles for the characters you type in are small. But when I typed my password the circles where huge and kinda blurry. The font was totally different and if I went to load firefox it wouldnt even load right and it was totally screwed up. I scanned with malwarebytes and when malwarebytes didnt find anything I was shocked because that usually what I use and it does a great job. So I looked up some other malware removers and I used a few and that didnt work. I plugged my flash drive into my laptop to put the malware removal programs on it (downloaded them from my desktop) after I put my flash drive in my laptop and removed it, when I went to plug it back in it did not light up at all. I tried multiple usb ports and no matter what it will not work any more. So whatever I had I guess it killed my flash drive also. So I got pissed off and removed the HDD and got the 512GB SSD that I was saving for something special and I put it in my XPS to install windows.

I booted windows 7 from the disk and everything was fine up until I had to choose a partition to put windows 7 on. It says it cannot install on a GPT partition. I tried making sure UEFI mode was enabled in my BIOS but I dont even see the option in my BIOS. My BIOS version is A14 and no matter what I try I cant change it to UEFI. It might even be enabled automatically for all I know but that dosent explain why I couldnt install windows 7 on my SSD.

I really need help. Any help is much appreciated
