    I have the laptop but it has horizontell lines in the righting on the screen even if I hook it up to external screen can Amy one tell me how to fix

    The horizontal lines are even on an external screen? Do they show up when you first power on the laptop (on the dell bios logo, etc)? If so it's probably a bad video card.
