    Need some help please :(

Got tired of Vista so started to install XP on my m1730.I deleted the raid setup since the XP setup couldn't use it without the raid drivers and of course this laptop doesn't have a floppy drive.
Anyway I did that thinking I could now install XP on 1 HDD, Now XP setup doesn't see any HDD and because I've deleted raid both HDD's clean.

Would like to solve this puzzle without phoning up Dell if possible!

Got a USB Flash drive if I can use that!

    Thanks in advance!

Did you disable RAID in the BIOS?

No I haven't, Didn't see an option for it.

I'll have another look for it.

You'll need to find out which Raid card is on the motherboard. Go to another computer, download the raid drivers for XP, download N-lite, create a new windows CD with the raid drivers on it.

I had the same problem with my Alienware. Tech support -TOLD- me I couldn't downgrade to XP. =\ Google was my friend.

Oh and it does not matter whether your hard drives are set up in raid or standalone, you will still need the raid drivers.
