Yes, I had this exact problem (on windows 7 x64 not vista). I installed the latest version of the driver from intel's site if I remember correctly.
I'm at work right now but can check which version of this driver I am now running when I get home if that would help. I know I have not had a problem since.

No, I was like only on facebook and skype yesterday and I went to cook my dinner. When I got back, I found my laptop turned off. After switching it back on, I realized it was a BSOD caused by Netw5v64.sys by checking my minidump.

If anyone could further help me analyze my dump,

    http://www.mediafire.com/?yigwmzzjz5d

I checked that but it doesn't do any help.

Yup I had that in Vista x64 and I thought it might be a vista problem. So I upgrade to Win 7 and I got it for the first time on yesterday (pretty disappointed). Also, as a matter of fact, I'm already running the latest version of driver from Intel site which is 13.0.107.

To get you guys up to speed, I analyzed the dump here:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=428396

In addition, he's also posted about it here:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=433553

Are you using the stock wireless management function in the OS, or the Intel app? Have you tried disabling and shutting down every app that uses networking, and the testing resume with nothing, then one app at a time to see if any of the apps are causing this? It could just be the Intel WiFi management application is crapping out, or something else that wants to bind to your adapter before it's ready.

I have got this exact message many times using utorrent 1.8.5 (intel 5300). Only I was able to reproduce it by saturating my bandwith. To get rid of it, i just have lowered my upload a bi tunder my connexion limits and it did not happen again. I strongly suspect the wifi card and the intel drivers since. I did use a usb buffalo wifi card just to check by deactivating the intel card and the issue never happened. Conclusion: stg is wrong wit the intel card in very specific situations. Other than that system is rock stable. a driver update might fix that.

I started getting the BSOD after updating to the latest drivers through Windows Update on 11/21. I was in the same exact situation. My dmp file blamed Netw5v64.sys, too. I found old drivers for the Intel Wifi online, version number 12.0.0.82 from 7/8/2008. I haven't gotten the BSOD yet with this driver, but they do disconnect me pretty often. What version of the driver are you guys using, and could you possibly send it to me? Thanks.

Updates from windows update have been screwing up my sister's computer with windows 7, i just recently re-installed her windows 7 and deactivated windows update and its been working fine.

i would watch out for these updates guys, they didnt give me BSODs but they did render my sis's system unstable and laggy, also unable to install some programs like rosetta stone..

Hmm, is anyone else running the modded Catalyst drivers? I've noticed a ton of BSOD's lately ever since I installed the new ones with the DH mod. I know it doesn't make any sense since this points to a networking issue, but I'm going to try reverting back to the Dell ones. Also, I was torrenting when this happened.
