Anybody tried this out yet?
-
downloaded with no issues
-
I don't think most are concerned with how the download goes, but yet how the install goes...? -
please let me know if this works
-
Flashed this BIOS to my 1647 just now with no outward ill effects.

Hey all-
Just to let everyone know I just took the leap of faith and upgraded to the
A09 BIOS (from A06) and all appears to have gone well. -
I've installed the new BIOS now for 2 days,, it seems pretty fine for now!
-
I'm confused. Days earlier the A11 BIOS was released for the 1645. Am I to understand that Dell is actually differentiating their BIOS releases between the two SXPS16 lines? 'Cause I was under the assumption that I'd be checking for and downloading the A11 BIOS update for my 1647 as soon as I receive it (Tuesday). No?

Er... thanks for the edit, Tenknics, but how, exactly, am I to interpret your modifications?
-
It seems like they release the BIOS for the XPS 1645 and 1647 on the same day, and most (but not all) of the changes are the same. The XPS 1645 is 2 BIOS releases higher because it's older.
XPS 1645 A11 = XPS 1647 A09
XPS 1645 A10 = XPS 1647 A08
ect. -
Thanks for the clear answer gpig
