Quick turn around and run!!! Just kidding. What kind of battery did you get? If you got 6 cell be ready for a long haul.

I recommend downgrading your CPU to the T8300 and upgrading your display to at least 1440x900. Expect less than a 3-5% performance difference between the T9300 and T8300, but the resolution you'll notice every day. Other than that, great!

    Good system.

Are there still crazy delays because of the 6 cell? What is the lead time for the battery when you customize a system on Dell's site?

Doh, read it wrong. Still, the T9300 for most people is not worth the price you pay for it. Unless you're doing heavy, heavy media encoding, you'll never notice the difference. Up to you, but the T8300 is currently in the price/performance sweet spot in Dell's CPU lineup.

just checked dell site and YES there is still a delay for 6 cell battery

u should check again because i'm seeing delay note for 6 cell battery and ur ESD seems like there's an item that's causing delay from ur configuration.

I paid $1384 for my configuration with tax included, and why dont u just go for free 9 cell battery upgrade? I went for it becuz it ships 2weeks earlier than 6 cell battery and i think it's great money saving part for battery

yes u can cancel ur order since u ordered it recently.
You can cancel ur order by just calling up dell CSR
and i'm sure they'll cancel it for u and let u reorder.

Also, just letting u know the one with free 9 cell upgrade only has
1 year warranty so if u want to go with the 3 year warranty, u might want to keep ur config, if not cancel the order and order the one with the upgrade

Call in to Dell Customer Care, tell them you want to change something on your order, they will transfer you to order modification department.

Over there, they will ask you for your order number and what you want to do. You just say you want to match your current configuration except you want the 9-cell battery. They will then tell you they have to cancel and replace the order, you say yes to it, then they match your previous configuration and tell you the price. You tell them that you want the free 9-cell battery as it is on the savings page. wait for them to update your price and tell you the new total. Then they ask you for credit card number, you give it to them, then congrats, you have successfully made the change. You will get a new order number, new esd, etc.

I wish they had the 9 cell upgrade for free when I ordered.

Will they let you change an order without cancelling and reordering?

You might be interested in this portion of a comparison review between an HP with the T9300 and a Vostro with the T8100:

Now, I don't know how much of an upgrade cost your T9300 was, but you really should consider if it's worth the price when in gaming your video card is the bottleneck and in rendering/encoding, you're looking at a 2-5% difference at maximum, that translates into around 10 seconds at 10 minutes.

WTF... I'm THINKING ABOUT CANCELING MY ORDER AGAIN. I just configured the same order today with there stupid dell & it's MUCH cheaper because this time they allow you to choose your warranty.

only difference is 2 year warranty on 2Yr In-Home Service & 2Yr Accident and Theft Protection~
Also I would have to wait longer & I already canceled the order two times T_T

so should I cancel it again or just keep what I got~

    Difference is
    $1,308.85 shipped
    or
    $1,532.54 shipped

    $223.69 CHEAPER

I don't think the warranty is worth it but I don't know how DELL will react if I cancel ANOTHER order :X

Also DUDE I suggest following this link: http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&oc=DYPNHD2&s=dhs

when creating your puter.. deal is only for today~

    btw your getting

    Midnight blue/Intel T8300 2.4 3mb cache/Vista Home/Full Hi Definition 1920*1200/4gb ram/Size: 320GB 5400rpm/cd+dvd burner/256 8600GT/Wireless N/Wireless 355 bluetooth/ 9 cell Battery (free)/sound blaster audio/finger print reader/Adobe Photoshop + Premiere Elements(free older edition)/90watt spare adapter/1year warranty~

    MUCH BETTER :p

    :-(

Are you not listening to me at all? Buying RAM through Dell is like asking to be robbed. And you're tossing unnecessary money into a T9300.
