I just got new speakers. Actually I got the same model I had before because I love them so much, but they are new in the box. Anyway Ive done this before but it was so long ago I can't remember. I thought I could reconfigure the jacks to be anything they want? It's a 2.1 system and I wanted to plug it in the first jack, but its only giving me "line in" "mic "rear speakers". I have the reconfigurable pop-up option checked. Only the last jack can do the front/2.1 speakers and thats just kinda annoying for cable purposes..

Is there anyway to assign front speakers to the other port? I swear I did this before...I just can't remember...

    I think its actually a 5.1 system.

Open up idt audio control panel from in control panel.
Right hand side has picture of left hand computer audio ports, click on these to configure.
one for two rear speakers, one for two front speakers, one for sub
