Looking at parting ways with the desktop and Sager in an attempt to get something marginally more portable with better battery life.

I believe I have settled on a 15z or XPS 17", but am rather undecided at the moment...can anyone weigh in on their thoughts of pros and cons?

1080P is a must, and decent battery life is appreciated (2 hours at least, which the 17" gets I believe). After 2 hours I don't mind having the charger out. I suppose I would like to play something like Diablo 3 when it comes out, but I don't want to base a purchase around that.

    • How much of a difference is the 555 vs 525 going to be?
    • Lastly, and most importantly, when do you all think there will be a refresh to the XPS line with next gen processors and video cards?

Difference between 525 and 555 is a HUGE. 555 is more better than 525. But anyway 525 is almost suitable for COD series, battlefield 2, dirt and so on.
But if you don't mind using laptop with charger after 2 hours, then xps 17 is right for you. But personally i prefer alienware laptops. For 17 inch size, alienware offers more powerful V.card.
You can buy next gen. processors(Ivy bridge) at this summer.
