    I just got this M1705 on 'System Exchange' from Dell (Link to my previous Thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=341905), and have a few questions...

    Okay, Now, before I got this thing I looked all over the place here for reviews, comments, problems, fixes, etc... Well, like a retard I did not bookmark the threads I should have and now I can't for the life of me find what the hell it is I am looking for, haha. So, if anyone here would be so kind as to help me out with a few questions I would be eternally (not internally, get your minds out of the gutter) grateful. So.....

    System/Specs:

    M1705
    X9000
    4g DDR2
    640g (320g HD x2 RAID-0)
    Dual 8700's
    Vista Ultimate
    Obnoxious Red Color Scheme...


    Issues:

    AUDIO. I seem to be having a problem I can remember being common in these models. Whether I watch a movie from the HD or from a DVD the audio seems to 'crackle'. I vaguely remember someone (or some people) saying this is due to the Wi-Fi being on. Well, when I turn off Wi-Fi the problem persists. Any solution? Drivers, etc...?

    VIDEO. Similar to the audio problem. Video playback on both HD content and DVD content plays back choppy about 30% of the time. Any ideas?


    I have tried both the Wi-Fi thing, as well as ending every program I can find running on the machine except for WMC and the problem is still there. I wouldn't think that would matter anyway on a machine as fast/powerful as this.


    Also: Any other software upgrades, drivers, fixes, etc. I should know about and take care of now while I can?
